Seton Rentals Near South Health Campus | Livenvo Rent
Seton was established in 2018 as Calgary's first true town centre format, anchored by the South Health Campus and the Brookfield YMCA, the largest YMCA in the world. Bounded by Deerfoot Trail and south of Auburn Bay, the community mixes low- and mid-rise condos with a walkable core, and will eventually connect downtown via a planned Green Line extension.
Seton was established in 2018, though construction on several of its anchor amenities began years earlier, as Brookfield Residential's master-planned answer to Calgary's first genuine town centre format. The community is bounded by Deerfoot Trail to the west and Seton Boulevard to the north, located directly south of Auburn Bay and east of Cranston. The 44-acre South Health Campus, which opened in 2011 and became fully operational by 2016 after a $1.31-billion first phase, anchors the community alongside the Brookfield YMCA, the largest YMCA in the world, with two NHL-sized ice rinks and an Olympic-sized pool. The Seton Homeowners' Association operates The Block, a 14,000-square-foot facility with a splash park, hockey rink, and tennis courts. Seton Urban District adds retail, restaurants, and a Cineplex VIP theatre within walking distance of most homes, and the community was named New Community of the Year at the 2020 BILD Awards. Housing is predominantly low- to mid-rise condos and townhomes, with contemporary detached homes filling in nearby. A proposed southeast leg of the Green Line will eventually serve Seton, though that connection remains in the future. For renters who want genuine urban-style walkability paired with major healthcare and recreation anchors, Seton is one of the southeast's most complete communities.
