Rentals Near Canada Olympic Park, SW | Livenvo Rent
West Springs sits directly behind WinSport's Canada Olympic Park, bounded by Old Banff Coach Road and Cougar Ridge to the north and Bow Trail to the south. Established in 2001 on land annexed from the Municipal District of Rocky View, the community includes the Wentworth extension to its west and a growing mix of shopping along Old Banff Coach Road.
West Springs sits at Calgary's western edge, bordered to the west by the acreages and estate homes of Springbank, to the east by 69 Street, to the south by Bow Trail, and to the north by Old Banff Coach Road, the community of Cougar Ridge, and WinSport's Canada Olympic Park. The land was previously part of the East Springbank area of the Municipal District of Rocky View before its 1995 annexation to Calgary, with West Springs established as a community in 2001. The neighbourhood's western extension, past 85 Street into the aspen parkland, is known as Wentworth. West Springs Elementary opened in September 2010, and West Ridge School followed in January 2017, serving grades 5 through 9 for both West Springs and neighbouring Cougar Ridge. Housing here is almost entirely single-family detached homes, reflecting the community's relatively recent, family-oriented development. Renters get quick access to West Springs Village and the West Springs Co-op for day-to-day shopping, along with Aspen Landing just to the south and Canada Olympic Park's year-round recreation immediately to the north. The community borders Coach Hill, Aspen Woods, and Christie Park, keeping it within the broader West Hills cluster of southwest Calgary neighbourhoods.
