Richmond Rentals Near Marda Loop | Livenvo Rent
Richmond, part of the Richmond/Knob Hill community established in 1950, sits between 17th Avenue SW and Marda Loop in Calgary's southwest. Renters here are close to the Southwest Regional Park pathway system and Richmond Green Golf Course, with the shops and restaurants of both 17th Avenue SW and Marda Loop within easy reach.
The land that became Richmond/Knob Hill was annexed by Calgary in two phases, first in 1907 and again in 1910, though most of the community's development happened in the 1950s, giving it a mid-century residential character. The neighbourhood is bounded roughly by 17th Avenue SW to the north, 19th Street, 26th Avenue, and 20th Street to the east, 33rd Avenue SW to the south, and 25A Street and Richmond Road to the west, placing it between the communities of Killarney, Shaganappi, and Bankview. Renters in Richmond benefit from easy access to Calgary's pathway system, along with nearby Southwest Regional Park and the Richmond Green Golf Course for outdoor recreation. The Marda Loop commercial district sits just to the south, offering restaurants, boutiques, and cafes within walking or cycling distance, while 17th Avenue SW's shops and nightlife run along the community's northern edge. The mix of original 1950s housing stock and newer infill development gives renters a range of options, from character bungalows to modern builds, all within a well-connected inner-city location a short drive from downtown Calgary.
