Winston Heights Rentals Near Nose Creek | Livenvo Rent
Along the escarpment above Nose Creek Valley sits Winston Heights/Mountview, established in 1932 and filled in through the 1950s around an older core of wartime homes. Renters here find low-density streets, easy access to Nose Creek Park's pathway system, and two golf courses bordering the community's eastern edge.
Winston Heights and Mountview began as separate communities, each with its own association from 1949 until they merged in 1962 and 1963 to form the Winston Heights-Mountview Community Association that still represents the area today. The neighbourhood itself dates to 1932, though most of the housing that renters see now was built in the 1950s around an existing core of older homes, many originally built for war veterans under the federal Veterans' Land Act. Winston Heights-Mountview sits along the west-facing escarpment of the Nose Creek Valley, bounded by Edmonton Trail to the west, Deerfoot Trail to the east, and the Trans-Canada Highway to the south, with Fox Hollow Golf Course and the Winston Golf Club developed along the community's eastern edge where the land drops toward the creek. Nose Creek Park and its connected pathway system sit within easy reach for walkers and cyclists, and the community maintains its own centennial garden alongside the community hall. Edmonton Trail gives residents a direct route toward downtown, and TELUS Spark and the Calgary Zoo are a short drive away across Deerfoot Trail. For renters who want a low-density, established community with golf-course green space close at hand, Winston Heights-Mountview delivers both without the density of the inner city.
