Rent in one of Calgary's oldest communities, steps from Bow River pathways and Kensington Village shops.

Crescent Heights was founded in 1895 by land developer Archibald J. McArthur, incorporated as its own village on May 1, 1908, and annexed into the City of Calgary in 1911, becoming an official neighbourhood in 1914. It's bounded by the Trans-Canada Highway to the north, Edmonton Trail to the east, 4th Street NW to the west, and Memorial Drive and the Bow River to the south, placing it in the inner city immediately north of downtown. The community's defining feature is McHugh Bluff, an escarpment overlooking the Bow River valley that draws joggers and walkers for its panoramic views of the downtown skyline. Rotary Park, at the base of the bluff, adds picnic areas and gardens, while the Bow River pathway system runs along the community's southern edge for cycling and walking into downtown or across to Kensington. Crescent Heights isn't currently served by CTrain, but a planned 9 Avenue North station is expected once the Green Line's northern segment is built out — a project still under construction with no confirmed date for reaching this stretch. In the meantime, renters rely on bus routes along Centre Street and Edmonton Trail, plus a short walk or drive to Kensington's shops and restaurants across the river. Housing spans the 1920s real estate boom through recent infill, giving the rental market real variety.
