Rundle Rentals Near Blue Line C-Train | Livenvo Rent
Rundle is one of four northeast communities collectively nicknamed The Properties, each named after a nearby mountain when they were built through the 1970s, in this case Mount Rundle. Established in 1973, the community has its own C-Train station on the Blue Line and shares its western edge with Sunridge Mall.
Rundle was annexed to Calgary in 1961 and established as a community in 1973, named after Robert Terrill Rundle, a Methodist missionary who worked across Western Canada in the mid-1800s. It's one of four northeast communities built during the 1970s known collectively as The Properties, alongside Pineridge, Whitehorn, and Temple, all named for mountains near Banff, in Rundle's case Mount Rundle. The community is bounded by 32nd Avenue NE to the north, 16th Avenue NE (the Trans-Canada Highway) to the south, 52nd Street NE to the east, and 36th Street NE to the west. Rundle Station sits directly within the community on the Blue Line, a short ride from downtown, and Sunridge Mall borders the neighbourhood's western edge, giving renters one of the larger retail centres in the northeast within walking distance. Housing is predominantly low-density, built through the 1970s, and the community includes a notable Lebanese population alongside its broader mix of long-time and newer residents. Bike pathways run in and adjacent to the community, connecting to the wider regional network. For renters who want direct C-Train access paired with mall-scale shopping and established 1970s housing stock, Rundle covers both without requiring a car.
